Support Bill Ronayne, a Champion of Chester County, as He Goes ‘Over the Edge’ for Fundraiser

Yes, that's a smile on Bill Ronayne's face as he prepares to rappel 29 stories down a skyscraper in Center City.

As a businessman, volunteer, philanthropist, firefighter, and more, Bill Ronayne wears many hats. One thing he insists he is not, however, is a daredevil.

Although the photos that accompany this story might suggest otherwise, “safety” really is Bill Ronayne’s middle name.

On Friday, May 17, the owner of Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning and Vice President of Fame Fire Company in West Chester will once again rappel 29 stories down Brandywine Realty Trust’s Two Commerce Square, an iconic skyscraper in Center City.

The adventure is part of the Philadelphia Outward Bound School’s annual high-adrenaline fundraiser that reflects the school’s mission to change lives through challenge and discovery.

Participants like Ronayne bravely mirror what the POBS’s outdoor education programs encourage young people to do every day: challenge themselves, discover untapped potential, and use it to make positive change in the world.

“It’s a cool adventure for an amazing cause,” said Ronayne. “All of the money I raise will stay right here in the West Chester Area School District for the Girls Leadership Program.”

Ronayne’s goal is to raise $2,000, and he needs your help. Click here to contribute and make Bill’s journey over the edge possible.
