Take Charge Consultants Teaches Life Skills To Enhance Youths’ Futures

A Coatesville consulting firm is aiming to take charge of an opportunity to instill leadership skills in disadvantaged Chester County youth, thereby helping shape a brighter future for them.

Take Charge Consultants recently stepped up to volunteer its expertise in coaching individuals to become self-sufficient, self-empowered and mindful leaders, according to a Daily Local News report.

“We are excited about this opportunity to give back to our local community while pulling on one of our core competencies — leadership,” President Ria Hawkins said in the article. “Take Charge will provide development sessions designed to help youth recognize their key strengths and values, develop resiliency and sharpen decision-making skills.”

The teaching of those important life skills will complement the rest of the college readiness curriculum being implemented within the Chester County Futures program, which aims to prevent generational poverty by mentoring and supporting motivated students.
