Wellness Wednesday: Kick Start Your Health This Spring With These 3 Easy Tips

Are you ready to kick start your spring?  The warmer weather is upon us and it is time to start thinking about summer vacations, afternoons by the pool and…bathing suits! Are you ready for it?  I often get a ton of calls this time of year and the message is this, “Jaime Lynn, I need your help!  We have a trip planned to Avalon in a month and none of my summer clothes fit me.”

The good news is there are a few things you can put into action right away to help you look and feel your best this summer!

Get outdoors and explore!  I recently took my family to Cheslen Preserve and we had the best time walking around and exploring.  You loose track of how much you are actually walking when you are taking in the beautiful scenery and breathing in the fresh air.

Keep a house stacked full of nutrient dense foods! Preparation is key if you want to eat healthy.

If you have healthy clean options on hand to eat you are setting yourself up for success.  A few must-haves in my kitchen every week are: apples, oranges, raw veggies, hummus, hard-boiled eggs, string cheese, raw nuts, and protein balls.

Sleep!  We all know that lack of sleep will negatively affect your brain function but it also wrecks havoc on your waistline as well.  The National Sleep Foundation recommends 7-9 hours a night!

Sweet dreams!
