The love found by a Chester County woman more than three decades ago at the Pennsylvania Farm Show blossoms to this day, writes Jason Nark for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Nancy Frey, née MacCauley, met Fritz Frey at the Farm Show in 1984 when both were 19 years old. Nancy came from the Chester County 4-H Club, while Fritz belonged to the 4-H Club in Lancaster County. This did not bode well for their future, as sheep and cattle folks do not usually mix well.

However, Fritz was smitten from the get-go and would help Nancy tend to her sheep after taking care of his cattle. The rest, as they say, is history.

They got married four years later at Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church in Parkesburg.

“They had all the sheep people on their side of the church, and we had all the cattle people on ours,” said June Frey, Fritz’s mother.

Since their wedding, the Freys have not missed a Farm Show. They sell show supplies at their booth, along with various shampoos and conditioners.

Even their daughter Katrina met her husband there.
