Michael Hall is the director of the Kennett Symphony.

Witnessing a performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is always an uplifting experience.

Join the Kennett Symphony, the Brandywine Valley Chorale, the Chester County Choral Society, members of the Unionville High School Chamber Choir, and soloists from the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia for a performance of Beethoven’s greatest musical achievement, celebrating the common bonds that we all share.

Opening night of “Emotional Landscapes Featuring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony” is Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 PM at Unionville High School’s auditorium.

The concert will begin with a playful overture by Franz Schubert and then three short songs by Gustav Mahler that – despite their brevity – probe the depth and breadth of the human experience.

The Kennett Symphony’s mission is to present a wide range of symphonic music at an affordable price to entertain and enrich the lives of its audience; to educate young and underserved audiences; and to provide opportunities for young artists and capable musicians to perform.
