Just weeks after opening, Devon Yard is already proving to be a success for Urban Outfitters, writes Natalie Kostelni for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The retail concept opened on Aug. 16, and the Philadelphia-based company has already claimed enormous success on its second-quarter conference call with analysts on Aug. 21.

According to president and CEO Richard Hayne, the project at the former Waterloo Gardens site has been doing so well that the company is already planning to roll it out in other markets.

Devon Yard was designed by Urban Outfitters as a lifestyle center that brings together some of the company’s brands. These include Anthropologie, the Terrain garden center, and BHLDN Weddings. It then combines them with two dining options, Amis Trattoria and Terrain Garden Café.

“So far, and we have only been open for less than a week,” said Hayne, “but so far, it’s doing extremely well, and I think it really captures the essence of what we’re doing.” He said that currently the restaurants are also experiencing “enormous success.”
