Kitchen Tune-Up, which gives kitchens a boost from small tune-ups to complete renovations, is opening a showroom in East Whiteland, writes Donna Rovins for the Daily Local News.

The business was started by Jeff and Penny Toren in their Malvern home. It revitalizes and reuses the components of an existing kitchen before making additions to create a space that feels like it’s completely new. The couple is franchisee owner of Kitchen Tune-Up Main Line, and over the last three years, have purchased three franchise territories.

“Everyone can have a nice kitchen,” said Penny.

She said that the reason they decided to start the business was because of some bad experiences with contractors. The pair decided instead to “put a new face to kitchen and bath remodeling.”

The business took off immediately, prompting them to search for a dedicated space for the business. They found their ideal location in East Whiteland.

The Torens’ 2,400-square-foot showroom officially opened on April 5.
