Coatesville Native Sets Penn State Record in 200 Meters

Freshman Terrance Laird of Coatesville set a Penn State record in the men’s 200 meters with a second-place finish at the Big Ten Championships in Ohio, according to a report from Penn State.

The run secured Laird a place at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, after closing out his indoor season with a 20.97 run last Friday at the Gilliam Indoor Track.

Laird finished the meet in twelfth place, earning second-team All-American honors.

For his achievements, Liard was named Big Ten Men’s Freshman of the Year.
