The Chester County Antiques Show found its new home at the Church Farm School just in time for its 36th edition, writes Greg Smith for Antiques and The Arts Weekly.

This year’s show included a beautifully eclectic mix of antique ceramics from the East and West, American and Continental furniture, folk art, antique toys, and much more.

The 42-dealer show is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the Chester County Historical Society. It opened with a preview that transformed the gymnasium of the Church Farm School into a richly decorated scene brimming with regional pride.

Elizabeth Laurent, the Historical Society’s president, was also on hand during the preview’s opening to provide detailed information on the items.

The show’s manager, Wesley Sessa, said he was happy the change of date from early April to early March did not affect attendance.

“This was a transitional year to continue the legacy of a 36-year-old show,” said Sessa. “We have found our home in the center of our county.”
