Showcasing the spirit of a community bank, Meridian Bank is doing its part to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in our local communities.

The Malvern-based bank collected different food items each day throughout the month of December and, as a result, recently donated a total of 581 pounds of food to the Chester County Food Bank.

“Meridian is proud to support the Chester County Food Bank,” said Meridian Bank CEO Chris Annas. “I’ve toured the facilities to see the food get separated and boxed, and we’ve had employees volunteer, hands-on, over the years. Raising over 500 pounds of food is a testament to our incredible team and our commitment to the communities we serve.”

Chester County Food Bank is the central hunger relief organization in Chester County and serves more than 120 partner agencies.

Throughout the years, Meridian Bank, which was founded in 2004, has donated nearly $3 million to local charitable and civic organizations.
