Pegasus, which also has offices in Wayne and Media, was named the MSP/MSSP of the Year. MSPs (Managed Services Providers) are the IT departments for organizations that don’t have their own internal IT departments. MSSPs (Managed Security Services Providers) help raise cybersecurity awareness within organizations.
Led by CEO Matthew Tucker, Pegasus was founded in the 1990s, and has grown from its enterprise security consulting origins to a full-fledged MSP and MSSP. Expanding from its roots in multi-factor authentication and identity management, Pegasus now offers managed services, as well as an MSSP program that is available to not only its clients but also the clients of other MSPs.

Through automation, cloud services, and virtualization, Pegasus aims to serve as the IT department for customers who lack their own. With a people-first approach, Pegasus prides itself on growing relationships with small businesses through Match-IT, a program it launched to assess customers’ individual needs before assigning a designated IT team.
In order to drive innovation, Pegasus tackles the market by focusing on customers’ technical, economical, and strategic needs and looks for ways to improve its own systems and procedures daily, earning it the CIA for MSP/MSSP of the Year.
“This year, we saw not only a surge in the number of entries we received compared with last year, but also a boost in the quality and caliber of entries,” said Scharon Harding, the Assistant Editor of Channelnomics. “This demonstrates how much value the industry places on these awards and how core they think innovation is to the channel.”
