New Year to Bring Price Hike for Pennsylvania Turnpike Drivers

Drivers throughout Pennsylvania will start the New Year with another price hike on the Turnpike, as tolls will increase by six percent, according to a report from CBS21 News.

The new prices will commence Jan 7., and will apply to both cash and E-ZPass lanes.

Traveling from the Harrisburg East exit to the Valley Forge exit will soon cost those paying in cash $11.10 and E-ZPass users $7.76. The current prices they have to pay for that journey is $10.45 and $7.32, respectively.

Anyone heading west from the Harrisburg East exit to Pittsburgh will now have to pay $26.75 in cash or $18.90 if they are using E-ZPass. The current price is $25.20 and $17.90, respectively.
