On Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation started its $2.2 million project to resurface 10 miles on four highways, including Route 724, Baltimore Pike, Route 113, and Waterloo Road. The contractor for the job is Allan A. Myers, LP, of Worcester.

Phoenixville will host its first-ever vegan festival to promote the vegan lifestyle and all of the benefits that go along with it. The Phoenixville VegFest will take place on September 17th from 12 to 5 p.m. at the corner of Bridge and Main streets. The free event will be open to all and will feature vegan food, live music, a kids area and various other vendors

Macy’s recent announcement that it will be closing 100 of its stores next year may have a significant impact on Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. The company runs 22 properties with space leased to the clothing retail company with six of them including Exton Mall, having the department store as their anchor.
