QVC Looking to Expand with Brick-and-Mortar Store on NYC’s Billionaires’ Row

QVC LogoWest Chester’s television and online retail giant QVC is looking to expand its operations by opening a brick-and-mortar store in New York City, writes Lois Weiss for the New York Post.

This will not be QVC’s first physical store, as it has outlets at its studio in West Chester and in Frazer and Lancaster, but it will be its first store outside of the state. The home shopping retailer already has its eye on the area around West 34th Street in Manhattan, but no exact location has been announced.

QVC, however, is not the only retailer looking to move into this prime shopping area in the Big Apple known as Billionaires’ Row. Its main competitors, including HSN and Amazon, are looking to make a similar move, which could be an added boon for shoppers.

“Everyone wants to touch the customer,” said Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Douglas Elliman Retail.
