Hankin Apartments is working on Keva Flats, a five-building community set on 21 acres on Business Route 30, just west of Route 100.
Keva Flats has been designed by the international architectural firm Norr. According to Hankin, the complex will mix one-bedroom and two-bedroom units in four-story buildings with styling that “blends natural materials with floor to ceiling windows, bold angles, and open floorplans.”

The development will also be walkable, with a sidewalk running along Lincoln Highway to connect the new community with the Whiteland Towne Center. Another sidewalk along Waterloo Boulevard will link Keva Flats with Miller Park. There will also be plenty of covered parking.
The apartments will rent for between $1,365 and $2,450 a month to attract millennials who are moving away from single-family homes.
“At Keva Flats, our goal is to develop a sense of place and simplify life,” said Rebecca Reeves, vice president of operations at Hankin Apartments.
