Because Hunger Knows No Season, Chester County Food Bank Calls for Donations

Donated food is an integral part of the Chester County Food Bank’s work to serve county residents struggling with food insecurity and hunger.

Even a donation as small as a can of soup or a bottle of fruit juice is distributed through the Food Bank’s network of more than 120 food cupboards and social service agencies spread throughout Chester County.

While the Food Bank has a continuous need for donated food, at no time is the demand as intense as it is during the holiday season. Donated food from the community enables the Food Bank and its partner agencies to provide food to anyone in need.

The foods most needed are:

Food donations can be dropped off at the Food Bank’s building at 650 Pennsylvania Avenue in Exton during the following hours:

  • Today Friday (11/17) 8am-4pm
  • Saturday (11/18) 9am-11:30am
  • Sunday (11/19) CLOSED
  • Monday (11/20) 8am-4pm
  • Tuesday (11/21) 8am-4pm
  • Wednesday (11/22) 8am-NOON (please do not leave food items after hours)
  • Thanksgiving CLOSED
  • Friday 11/24 CLOSED

Those wishing to donate online can do so here. A donation as little as $20 helps provide a Thanksgiving meal to a Chester County resident in need.
