Chester County Home to Five of Pennsylvania’s 25 Most Expensive ZIP Codes

By

Chester County is home to five of Pennsylvania's 25 most expensive ZIP Codes. This Berwyn property, located at 353 Lindsey Drive, is on the market for more than $1.5 million.

Five Chester County ZIP Codes are among Pennsylvania’s Top 25 most expensive, according to median home sale prices, writes Eliza Theiss for PropertyShark.

The increase in housing prices is a direct result of high demand and low inventory. This is especially true for the Greater Philadelphia area, which seems to be in the middle of a buying frenzy. This is making bidding wars and inflated offers increasingly common and pushing median home sale prices closer to pre-recession levels.

To compile the list of most expensive ZIP Codes in the Keystone State, PropertyShark looked at all residential transactions that took place between August 2016 and July 2017, excluding package deals.
