Chester County’s East Nottingham Township, Londonderry Township, and West Chester are among the Top 20 hottest housing markets in the Greater Philadelphia region, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The data was compiled by Zillow based on overall real estate activity in the 256 ZIP Codes in Greater Philadelphia. It showed that East Nottingham Township’s 19363 ZIP Code ranked 11th, Londonderry Township’s 19330 came in 12th, while West Chester’s 19382 is 20th.

East Nottingham’s current median home value is $255,300, nearly 10 percent more than last year, and up 2.22 percent from five years ago. Londonderry’s current median home value is $273,400, a 7.81 percent increase over last year and up 1.85 percent over the last five years.

West Chester’s median home value is $401,300, up 6.87 percent over last year and 3.79 percent over the last five years.

Philadelphia’s 19146 was the most in-demand housing market in the region as of April 30.

“It is by far the most active ZIP Code that I sell in,” said realtor Noah Ostroff.
