Kennett Square’s New Horizon Nutraceuticals has been steadily growing since it was founded five years ago.

This is in no small part due to the dedication in constantly finding new ways to improve its products and practices, writes Jim Butschli for Packaging World.

New Horizon specializes in the research and manufacturing of custom formulations designed for different goals, like bodybuilding or weight loss. The supplements are available in several unique flavors, including cookie dough and apple pie.

The company provides supplements research and manufacturing and also offers custom blending and packaging services.

Now, in its latest effort to protect both the purity and safety of its products, New Horizon has installed a Mettler-Toledo Safeline Signature Touch metal detector.

All of the company’s products and packages are handled by one packaging line. After the products are sealed, they go through the Signature Touch metal detector, which further ensures their quality and safety.

“Quality products and strict attention to food safety compliance are every manufacturer’s duty to the consumer and paramount to maintaining success,” said Rob Wiscount, New Horizon’s owner. “Our metal detector helps us fulfill this commitment to quality and food safety.”
