AmerisourceBergenJust shy of ranking as one of America’s most diverse companies, AmerisourceBergen was recognized as a noteworthy employer in the 2017 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity.

The accolade heralds the Chesterbrook pharmaceutical supplier’s excellence in diversity and inclusion management based on recruitment, talent development, senior leadership commitment, and supplier diversity.

“There are simply not enough qualified people to hire. A company’s ability to find the best and brightest, advance, and retain them equitably is a decisive competitive advantage,” said DiversityInc Founder and CEO Luke Visconti. “The DiversityInc Top 50 have a decisive, metrics-evidenced ability to treat people more fairly than other large companies. They also have a greater-than-average return for their shareholders.”

AmerisourceBergen’s rise in diversity management comes amidst a crowded field of fellow challengers.

“The 10 percent increase in companies participating in the survey from a year ago proves that accountable leaders at these companies view diversity and inclusion as a key business measure,” said DiversityInc COO Carolynn Johnson.
