New life is about to bloom from Phoenixville’s garden-style Breckenridge Plaza apartments as soon as new owner Friedman Realty Group can get in and cultivate a fresh new image for the 92 apartment units spread across five buildings.

Friedman Realty recently bought the nearly half-vacant Breckenridge Plaza for $8.9 million and plans to sow $3 million into a total interior renovation, according to a Philadelphia Business Journal report by Natalie Kostelni.

“We like Phoenixville, and we like Chester County,” said Vice President David B. Friedman. “As part of our growth strategy and plans for expansion, this was right up our alley in terms of location and 1970s garden-style apartment with a value-add component.”

Upon completion of the interior redesign and exterior addition of new lighting, landscaping, and signage, Breckenridge Plaza will become the Phoenix View Apartments.

“The property had stagnated for a while,” Friedman said. “We want to introduce this to the community with a renewed sense of excitement.”
