Registration Open for Longwood Symposium Exploring Economic Impact of Public Gardens
The Longwood Graduate Program in Public Horticulture at the University of Delaware will host its annual symposium on Friday, March 3 at Longwood Gardens.
The symposium, Growing Together: Gardens Cultivating Change in the Economic Landscape, will explore how public gardens can influence local and regional economies while advancing their organizations.
Growing Together will present speakers exploring a range of topics from research on the economic impact of gardens, to strategies for advocacy for nonprofit organizations, to the effects of urban revitalization.
Speakers include:
- Ethan Conner-Ross, Director of Econsult
- Karen Lucht, Programs Coordinator at Magnolia Plantation & Gardens
- Sandra Albro, Research Associate at Cleveland Botanical Garden
- Dr. Yoram Bauman, The Stand-up Economist
The day-long symposium will take place in the Longwood Gardens Ballroom beginning at 9 AM.
