ICTVBrandsLogo_RGB_300DPIWayne’s ICTV Brands recently completed two acquisitions worth around $12 million that will add several new brands to its growing range, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The first deal netted the direct response marketing and branding company a significant number of the assets of Horsham’s PhotoMedex for around $9.5 million. This included PhotoMedex’s well-known no!no! brand of hair-removal devices. Two other brands also came as part of the deal, including Kyrobak, a device that helps relieve back pain, and Cleartouch, a phototherapy treatment for nail fungus.

The second deal gave ICTV all of the assets of Ermis Labs from The Leo Group for 2.5 million shares of ICTV common stock. This acquisition gives the Wayne business all the intellectual property associated with CoralActives, a patented system of products for acne treatment, together with five unique formulas for medicated cleansing bars that can treat acne, psoriasis, dermatitis, dandruff, fungus, and other similar conditions.

According to Richard Ransom, president of ICTV Brands, the transformative acquisitions will bring several well established brands into the company’s growing platform of consumer products.

“We believe this transaction creates substantial current and future value for our shareholders,” he said.
