This year’s event will be held on the runway of the Brandywine Airport in West Chester on April 30. This is the first and only color 5K on an airport runway in Chester County history. Teleflex

Wayne’s Teleflex, a leading global provider of medical technologies for critical care and surgery, has announced that Benson Smith will retire from his position as Chief Executive Officer, effective on Dec. 31, 2017. Smith, a Teleflex Board member since 2005, will continue to serve as Teleflex’s Chairman of the Board.

“When I began my tenure as CEO in 2011, Teleflex was completing its transition from a diversified industrial company, and I’m proud that in less than a decade we have been able to successfully grow into our current position as a leading global provider of medical devices,” said Smith.

Liam Kelly, who currently serves as Teleflex’s President and Chief Operating Officer, has been named by the Teleflex Board of Directors to succeed Smith as CEO.

BioTelemetry

Malvern’s BioTelemetry, the leading wireless medical technology company focused on the delivery of health information to improve quality of life and reduce cost of care, has reported results for the fourth quarter and full year ended Dec. 31, 2016. The company recognized the highest quarterly revenue in its history with $54.0 million, a 15 percent increase over the prior year.

BioTelemetry also achieved its 18th consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth.

“As a result of the effective execution of our strategic initiatives, we recorded record revenue, earnings and adjusted EBITDA, achieving the high-end of our fourth-quarter guidance,” said Joseph H. Capper, President and CEO. “Additionally, we continued our tradition of innovation, and completed three acquisitions, gaining entree into an exciting, new, and large market opportunity.”

AchieveNext

Wayne’s AchieveNext, a career and corporate services firm, has acquired career management and executive coaching firm Kelleher Associates, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Kelleher will become the core provider of AchieveNext’s career services. AchieveNext offers career services, board governance, M&A readiness, and risk monitoring services to North American mid-market companies and organizations. The company is led by CEO Nick Araco and fellow managing directors Greg Wood and Todd White.
