Fox Rothschild

Building on a tradition of giving back to the communities where its attorneys and staff live and work, Fox Rothschild has launched FoxCares – a nationwide series of charity drives that benefit a different cause every month in the summer of 2017.

Throughout the month of July, attorneys and staff from the Exton office of Fox Rothschild collected book bags, school supplies, and monetary donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Big Brothers Big Sisters is an organization with a goal to help all children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with volunteer mentors.

“Community engagement is a core value at Fox. The idea of giving back is ingrained in our firm culture,” said Mark L. Morris, Fox’s firmwide managing partner. “Throughout the year, attorneys and staff in each of our offices participate in countless acts of community service, and that will continue.”

Zoomi

Malvern-based Zoomi, the leading Artificial Intelligence-based learning analytics company, has released its Learning Intelligence Services, created to make learning more efficient and impactful. The suite of analytics services takes personalized learning to the next level by delivering analytical insight to clients from experts in big data learning analytics, social learning networks, and human development.

“How content is being delivered matters,” said Caroline Brant, Zoomi’s Director of Learning Success. “We don’t need to rely on assessments responses as the data for determining efficacy or inefficacy. We can immediately see if learners respond better to text, audio, or video, what devices learners are using to complete their material, and if they are bouncing ideas off other learners to further their understanding.

“Zoomi’s Learning Intelligence Services answers these questions to make learning personalized and effective.”

North Star Orchard

Cochranville’s North Star Orchard is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with the opening of a new farm store. The store is open Thursday and Friday from 3-6 PM and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM-3 PM through Thanksgiving, allowing customers to shop beyond the usual timeframe of weekend farmers markets.

The grand opening of the store is on Aug. 12 and 13, with guest vendors, giveaways, and live music on the Sunday. In addition to selling its own fresh fruits and vegetables, the farm store also offers baked goods, meats, eggs, cheeses, beverages, and more thoughtfully curated products from other local purveyors.

“We are thrilled, after 25 years of growing unique varieties of tree fruits, to finally be able to invite the community to come directly to the farm to shop and see where their food is coming from.” said owner Lisa Kerschner.

The store is housed in a beautifully refurbished barn sitting at the northern edge of the farm’s property on Route 10 at 3232 Limestone Road. Visitors to the store are encouraged to come to the farm for classes, workshops, and guided tours being offered throughout the summer.
