This week marks the landmark of 20 years in business for the folks at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, and to celebrate, all 12 locations will be throwing a bash on Friday, Nov. 11 beginning at 4 PM.

For the occasion, Iron Hill has brewed a special beer, a farmhouse-style ale called Fe20. An unfiltered, satisfying saison, Fe20 will be served in 22-oz. bottles at all Iron Hill locations for the celebration. This crisp beer, weighing in at 7 percent ABV, was brewed with a blend of rustic yeast and specialty hops, which is permeated with notes of white grapes, citrus, stone fruit, and a touch of tartness.

Having first opened on Nov. 14, 1996 in Wilmington, Del., the rapidly expanding brand opened its second location in 1997 in West Chester, and the rest is history. Comprised of three partners: Kevin Finn, now 55, and Mark Edelson, 52, began as homebrewers. (Finn had an MBA and a successful family business, while Edelson was a chemical engineer.) They teamed up with Kevin Davies, 60, a specialist in restaurant operations, to bring their vision to life.

A packed and prestigious draft list will be available, featuring eight award-winning beers:

  • Bedotter Belgian Golden Ale
  • Black IPA
  • Lambic de Hill
  • Lodestone Lager
  • Overload Stout
  • Russian Imperial Stout
  • Rye of the Tiger
  • The Cannibal

For guests who are undecided or who want to try a bit of everything, a sampler, including a 4-oz. taste of all the beers on tap, is available for $12.

The 20th anniversary, multi-tap event will occur at all 12 locations (Ardmore, Chestnut Hill, Huntingdon Valley, Lancaster, Maple Shade, Media, Newark, North Wales, Phoenixville, Voorhees, West Chester, and Wilmington).
