Product Manager

This position will provide leadership and guide strategy for products by developing, implementing, and managing product development and product marketing plans and activities that will ensure achievement of revenue and profit objectives. He/she will be involved with the product through all stages of the product’s life cycle including definition, development, release, and post-release activities. The person will also determine and maintain software product and service requirements through an in-depth understanding of customer and partner needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline or have the equivalent work experience. (MBA or CPA is a plus.) He/she should have four to five years of Product Management experience. The person will also have five years of experience working in the transaction tax field (sales tax, consumer use tax, VAT, returns or payroll) or the public accounting field.

Senior Alliance Program Manager

This position will develop and cultivate relationships with target Alliance partners, and act as the primary point of contact for Alliances to establish and manage alignment between Sales, Vertex Consulting, and other internal departments. He/she will provide overarching support and management of the daily needs and requirements of our alliances, aligning all activities with the strategic direction of the organization. The person will also execute operational go-to-market plans related to work activities defined by Vertex Market Strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. He/she will have eight years of Marketing, Business Development, and Strategic Alliances experience. (Experience working with Big 4 is a plus.) A strong working knowledge of Corporate Tax is desired.

Functional Consultant

This position will focus on the business tax process as it relates to specific ERP applications – SAP and/or Oracle, JD Edwards – and the implementation of the company’s tax technology solutions. He/she will focus on delivering services in support of the deployment of Vertex tax technology products. The role may also require the ability to effectively identify and deliver tax process solutions and other value-added services that contribute to the company’s revenue and profit objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related discipline. (MBA and/or CPA is preferred.) ERP, Tax/Tax Technology, or Tax Professional Certifications are recommended. The individual preferably has tax-application experience working with public accounting firms and/or fortune 1000 companies in the area of transaction tax.
