Landhope Farms Helps Fight Childhood Cancer with $1 Donation from Every Hoagie sold in September

Paul Matthews established the Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation to honor the memory of his 10 year old son that he lost to leukemia in 2011. The Foundation has since raised tens of thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society, an effort he is continuing this year with the help of local businesses.

Hearing about the fundraising efforts, Dennis McCartney, the Director of Operations at Landhope Farms decided that he had to help. Throughout September, $1 of every 12-inch hoagie sold at Landhope’s locations in Kennett Square, Unionville or Port Deposit will go toward the Eli Seth Matthews Leukemia Foundation.

“This couldn’t be a more worthy donation,” stated McCartney. “It’s a small part we can do to help. It’s the first time we have ever done anything like this.”
