Malvern-based commercial real estate company Liberty Property Trust is getting its hands dirty and digging deeper into industrial and commercial development with the hiring of a proven leader from Boston.

Greydon “Greydie” Sargent III has assumed leadership as senior vice president of construction and development across southeastern Pennsylvania.

“Greydie brings to us a wealth of experience in industrial development,” Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Liberty Property Trust Mike Hagan said in a recent announcement.

“As we continue to develop our industrial portfolio, we will look to him to provide insight, guidance and leadership.”

Sargent will tap years of experience developing projects in the states north of Pennsylvania for multinational real estate investment trust Prologis and Campanneli Companies, as well as LEED AP + Construction green building certification and resources from his membership in the American Society of Architectural Engineers, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the Roofing Contractors Institute and the National Roofing Contractors Association.

Sargent will be based in Liberty Property Trust’s Home Office in Malvern, PA. He is relocating to the area from Boston.
