Spring crops aren’t the only thing local farmers are cultivating this week; the newest guide to the offerings of more than 100 Chester County agricultural producers is hitting the shelves of libraries and government buildings with the aim of harvesting a fresh interest in the healthful bounty available year-round and an inquisitive curiosity about how our food is made.

“The Local Farm Products Guide has become a favorite for residents, and we are happy to have such a great resource to help connect consumers to local farm products,” Board of Commissioners Chairman Terence Farrell said in an announcement Wednesday. “The guide also provides readers with an insight into what agriculture in the county is all about.”
Among the highlights of the publication is a spotlight on 2014 Farmer of the Year Robert Lange of Sugartown Strawberries in Willistown Township.
Get your copy of the annual guide on the Ag Council’s website here, and watch for a new interactive local farm products map experience later this year.
