The Chester County Pipeline Information Center (PIC) was created to provide residents with a central location to find information on all aspects of pipeline issues.

Regularly updated as news becomes available, the PIC provides timely information on the latest developments in pipeline activity. It supports pipeline safety and public awareness through a partnership with pipeline providers, regulators, and municipal governments.

There are nearly 600 linear miles of existing pipeline corridors that cross through the landscape of Chester County’s 760 square miles. The goal of the PIC is to provide information to residents, pipeline operators, and other Chester County stakeholders, including farmers and nonprofit land trusts and conservancies with large preserves that are commonly crossed by pipelines.

Currently, there are 10 operators of pipelines in Chester County:

  • TE Products Pipeline Company/Enterprise Products Partners
  • Texas Eastern Transmission (Spectra Energy Corp.)
  • Colonial Pipeline Co.
  • Columbia Gas Transmission Corp.
  • Eastern Shore Natural Gas Co.
  • Laurel Pipeline Company/Buckeye Partners
  • PECO Energy Co.
