Philly-Design-Home-HEADER (1)Tague Lumber and Bob Wagner’s Flooring America Design Center, two long-time Chester County family businesses, are among the sponsors of this year’s Philadelphia Magazine Design Home project.

This is the 13th year the magazine has showcased a design home, and the 2014 Design Home will be nestled among fine stone and Tudor homes in a country-like setting at 622 E. Gravers Lane, Wyndmoor.

Tickets to tour the home are $25, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting MANNA, the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance.  The home, featuring building products from sponsors, will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Monday of each week from Oct. 23 to Nov. 16.

The magazine will also chronicle the home’s building and design on its web site.

Tague Lumber has been a local family business since 1908 and now has stores in Doylestown, Kennett Square, Media, Philadelphia, Phoenixville and Malvern.

Bob Wagner began his Downingtown business in 1975 and the firm has been family owned and operated ever since.  Its employees take pride in providing customer service, and the store maintains a “fuzzy side up” blog with helpful hints for flooring design.
