Baker Industries is one of the leading outsourcing and fulfillment companies in the Delaware Valley. Staff and volunteers work with participants to give them solid work ethics and skills in a real work environment.  Each year around 62 employees join the “regular” work force.

The organization was founded by Charles and Louise Baker who had searched for an appropriate working environment for their epileptic, learning-disabled son. The Bakers wanted to create a program for high-functioning men and women with learning disabilities and challenges.

In 1980 the Bakers first opened the direct mail and outsourcing business in their garage to begin to fill the void for high-functioning disabled people in the workforce.  The organization now serves many companies and provides clients real work for real wages.
