Local Businesses May Access Pennsylvania Chamber Educational Webinars

By

The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry – the statewide voice of business – is offering educational seminars throughout the year for business leaders including webinars that may be accessed right from the office.

The next webinar is “Creating a Corporate Culture that Attracts and Retains the Best Employees,” set to run from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 13. The seminar is being led by noted human resources authority Dick Cipoletti, president of RCC Associates, a full-service consulting and training firm. He plans to discuss selection and retention strategies including:

• A review of the most common reasons why companies fail to attract the talent they want, and to keep the top notch talent they have

• Methods for gauging the morale of top performers, such as exit interviews, surveys, Management By Walking Around (MBWA), and more

• A review of the common elements of a corporate culture for those companies that do a good job attracting and retaining their best employees; with suggestions on how you can integrate some of these best practices into your own workplaces

• Strategies HR professionals can use to begin to change a corporate culture, and to implement these best practices

The Chamber will also offer a wage webinar on June 19 and a webinar on environmental sustainability on July 11. The Pennsylvania Chamber serves thousands of member businesses statewide. Its mission is to improve Pennsylvania’s business climate and increase the competitive advantage of its members. The state Chamber is not affiliated with any political party and is not part of government, nor is it connected with one type of industry. Its membership crosses all industry sectors and comprises businesses of all sizes – from sole proprietors to Fortune 100 companies – representing nearly 50 percent of the private workforce in the Commonwealth.
