As artificial intelligence continues to transform the workplace, Eastern University is helping professionals prepare for the future with the launch of its new Master of Arts in Artificial Intelligence Innovation.

The fully online graduate program is an interdisciplinary, human-centered program designed to equip professionals with the critical thinking, ethical grounding, and practical skills needed to lead in an AI-driven world.

Students can complete the program in as little as 10 months for a total tuition cost of $9,900.

The M.A. in Artificial Intelligence Innovation expands Eastern’s growing portfolio of forward-looking graduate programs, offering a unique pathway for professionals in creative, educational, and non-technical fields to engage meaningfully with emerging AI technologies.

“Recognizing that artificial intelligence presents a profound human, ethical, and organizational challenge, this program is designed to cultivate sophisticated thinkers and decision-makers who can bridge the gap between technical capability and creative application,” said Rebecca Gidjunis, Eastern’s Assistant Provost of Academic Operations.

The M.A. in Artificial Intelligence Innovation program stands out for its emphasis on non-technical, thoughtful AI use and innovation. Rather than focusing on coding or advanced technical development, the curriculum empowers students to critically evaluate AI tools, design human-centered workflows, and lead responsible AI adoption across industries.

Students also gain essential skills in digital and media literacy, learning to navigate a world increasingly shaped by AI-generated and algorithmically amplified content. Through this lens, graduates are prepared to identify misinformation, analyze deepfakes, and contribute to ethical digital ecosystems.

Rooted in an interdisciplinary approach, the program explores the intersection of AI with creativity, psychology, education, and culture. Students examine the evolving relationship between humans and intelligent systems while developing practical strategies for innovation and problem-solving in their respective fields.
