That’s exactly what’s on the table at the 2026 Better Giving for Greater Impact Summit, hosted by the FirstBank Charitable Foundation on Wednesday, May 20. Now in its third year, this free, all-day event has become one of the region’s most anticipated gatherings for anyone who cares about what’s happening — and what’s possible — right here at home.

This year’s event places a major spotlight on the Nonprofit EXPO, a free, open-to-the-public showcase featuring 42 nonprofit organizations making a measurable impact across the region. No registration is required for the EXPO, and attendees are encouraged to stop by anytime between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM to meet nonprofit leaders, explore volunteer opportunities, and discover causes making a real difference in areas like education, housing, workforce development, food insecurity, family support, and community outreach.

For attendees looking to dive deeper, a limited number of seats (fewer than 40 remaining) are still available for the Summit programming sessions. The Summit will feature expert speakers, panel discussions, and conversations focused on philanthropy, nonprofit collaboration, charitable giving strategies, and creating long-term community impact.

And then there’s the raffle: Attendees who visit the nonprofit booths throughout the EXPO will have the chance to enter to win 17 raffle prizes valued at over $6,000 total. Organizers say the only way to qualify is by engaging directly with the participating nonprofit organizations — turning the raffle into an opportunity not just to win, but to connect.

Among the featured prizes:

• A one-week stay at a waterfront home in Rock Hall, Md.

• A $1,000 donation made to the charity of the winner’s choice.

Winners must be present for the raffle drawing, following the final speaker session, in order to claim their prize.
