For the first time in over 60 years, the 2026 PGA Championship is bringing some of the top golfers in the world to Delaware County, writes Alexandra Simon for CBS News Philadelphia.
Around 200,000 people are anticipated to attend the tournament at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square between May 11 and May 17. Practice rounds run from May 11 to 13, while the championship rounds are from May 14 to 17.
The practice rounds will air on the Golf Channel. Rounds 1 and 2 of the tournament will air on ESPN, and CBS will carry coverage of Round 3 and the Final Round.
Fans looking to attend in person can still secure tickets for the practice rounds from Monday to Wednesday, with prices starting at $99. Championship+ tickets are sold out through the PGA, but resale tickets are available on SeatGeek.
While on-site parking is not available, two pre-paid parking lots are open. Drivers must purchase one parking pass per vehicle to access the lots at Delaware County Community College and Delaware County Veterans Memorial.
Shuttles will be available to transport visitors from the parking lots to the club. Those using a ride-hailing service must use the tournament’s official rideshare lot at 15 Campus Boulevard in Newtown Square for pickup and drop-off.
The championship will feature a total of 154 players, including Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Hideki Matsuyama, Scottie Scheffler, and Justin Thomas.
