U.S. News Ranks 13 Chester County High Schools Among Pennsylvania’s Best

Chester County public high schools were recently listed among the top 100 in Pennsylvania in a new ranking from U.S. News & World Report.

Factors determining school ranking included college readiness, college curriculum, state assessment proficiency and performance, and graduation rate. Schools were given a score out of 100 after calculations.

The highest ranking school is in second place, the Downingtown STEM Academy, with score of 99.88. The graduation rate is 100 percent and the college readiness score is 98.7.

Next at No. 5, Unionville High School scored 98.21. The school has a graduation rate of 98 percent and a college readiness score of 62.4. Conestoga High School made the top ten at No. 10 with an overall score of 97.26. The graduation rate is 97 percent and the college readiness score is 61.2.

Great Valley High School landed at No. 26, scoring 94.96, with a graduation rate of 96 percent and college readiness score of 54.7.

Renaissance Academy Charter School rounds out the top 50 at No. 36 with a score of 92.5. The graduation rate is 100 percent and college readiness is 47.7.

Further down the list, Owen J. Roberts High School is No. 59 with a score of 90.67. Downingtown High School East is No. 64. West Chester East High School ranked No. 72 and Avon Grove High School is No. 74. West Chester Henderson High School is No. 83.

Meanwhile, West Chester Bayard Rustin High School comes in at No. 91 and Collegium Charter School rounds out the top 100 at No. 98.
