For Wynnewood native Rosemary Connors, a successful career in television was just the beginning, writes Eileen Smith Dallabrida for Main Line Today.
After 15 years as an Emmy-winning journalist with NBC 10 Philadelphia, Connors stepped away from the anchor desk in late 2024 to launch a new venture in an entirely different field. Just months later, she introduced Rosette Specialty Trades, a union scaffolding company that has quickly gained traction in the region.
Connors’ roots in Montgomery County helped shape her path. A graduate of Villanova’s Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and the University of Pennsylvania, she also earned a law degree from Temple University while building her broadcasting career. Her diverse background, combined with years of experience connecting with people, has translated into success in the construction industry.
Since launching in early 2025, Rosette has grown rapidly. It has generated more than $5 million in revenue in its first year and secured high-profile projects across the Philadelphia region. The company is now one of only a handful of locally owned union scaffolding firms in the area.
Connors says the shift from journalism to construction isn’t as drastic as it seems. Both fields, she notes, rely heavily on communication, relationships, and being part of the community.
