Goodness Bowls Franchise Making Main Line Debut in Paoli

Goodness Bowls will add three new franchise locations in the Philadelphia area, including its location in Paoli.

Based in the Jersey Shore, Goodness Bowls is adding three new franchise locations in the Philadelphia area, including its debut Main Line location in Paoli, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The 7-year-old health food concept will also add new spots in Haddon Township in South Jersey and on the shore in Sea Isle City. All three stores will be owned by a separate franchisee.

The chain was co-founded by mother-daughter duo Susan and Corinne Persichetti. They aim to expand the business across the region through single-unit franchise deals that allow operators to become familiar with the brand and stay involved in daily operations.

“We’re not looking to sell five units to a corporate banker, and he’s not involved, he just kind of hires managers and doesn’t uphold all of our culture, our mission, our values,” said daughter Corinne Persichetti.

Franchisee Heather MacFarland Wellock will operate the Paoli location, a 1,100-square-foot shop at 5 Paoli Plaza that is expected to open in early June. The new store is intended to help meet the strong consumer demand that has already been seen at Goodness Bowls’ existing Main Line cafes.
