Chester County cars are about to be squeaky clean thanks to updated Buggy Bath car wash locations in Phoenixville and Chester Springs, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.
Nine years after leasing the chain’s original location in West Chester, entrepreneur Blake Gunther purchased the Phoenixville space last August. Expanding the business even further, Gunther shared he expects to open a third location in Chester Springs later this year.
Buggy Bath car washes include self-service bays, vacuums, and automatic touchless bays. Every location is open 24/7, with a manager on site for several hours each day.
The Phoenixville location features three do-it-yourself bays, one automatic wash, and four vacuums. DIY washes cost about $4, with the automatic wash ranging from $10-$20.
Improvements for the new location included updated vacuums, a new system, and new signage.
The original West Chester location houses five self-service bays, one automatic bay, and seven vacuums.
Gunther shared that he takes great pride in managing a small business in an industry dominated by large corporations. About the car wash staying an independent operation, Gunther said, “We trust that customers value quality and service over the subscription model that many larger operators push. We have local workers, managers and attendants who are all part of the community.”
