Longwood Gardens now offers stunning new event spaces perfect for a scenic wedding reception, writes Emily Goulet for Philadelphia Magazine.
Thanks to the years-long Longwood Reimagined renovation, redesigned event spaces throughout the property are available for a range of events. Different spaces can accommodate varying capacities, making the beloved Kennett Square gardens a top destination for receptions, corporate events, group parties, and more.
Indoors, the Fountain Room can host up to 150 guests for a seated meal and cocktail hour. The room features large, arched windows overlooking the Fountain Garden with furniture made from reclaimed Longwood Gardens trees.
For a truly grand event, the Main Conservatory can host up to 400 guests for a seated meal and up to 1,000 guests for a reception-style function. Guests can enjoy the sights, sounds, and scents of the conservatory’s lush horticultural displays and walkways.
For a more intimate gathering, the Music Room and Legacy Room are perfect for parties up to 50 guests. Both offer an outdoor patio or wraparound deck to host the perfect indoor/outdoor event.
Longwood does require that guests use the gardens’ in-house caterers, but guests can otherwise bring any approved outside vendors for any additional event needs.
