A burst of holiday cheer is headed to Chester County as The Borough in Downingtown, one of the newest spots for entertainment, food, and nightlife, presents its Home for the Holidays Comedy Show on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025. Doors open at 7 PM, and the show begins at 8 PM.
This one-night-only event marks the venue’s second major stand-up showcase, promising an evening packed with festive energy, talent, and laughter. Guests can enjoy food, signature drinks, and an electric atmosphere that has quickly made The Borough a go-to destination.
“We’re thrilled to host our second comedy show and bring even more laughter and joy to our community,” said Keith Critchley, Co-Owner of The Borough. “The Borough is all about creating memorable experiences, and this event is the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with friends and family.”
Headlining the evening is Joey Callahan, a veteran stand-up comic known for his rapid-fire delivery and humor. A familiar face from Comedy Central and ESPN, Callahan brings more than two decades of polished, relatable comedy to the Downingtown stage.
Joining him are two rising stars of Philadelphia’s comedy scene, Gabriel Mahalik and Jamie Pappas.
Mahalik’s viral character “Don from Darby” has earned thousands of fans for its pitch-perfect parody of a passionate Philadelphia sports caller. Pappas is a comedian and producer known for her candid storytelling, sports commentary, and viral parody videos highlighting “the worst Philadelphia neighbors.” She is a frequent host at Helium Comedy Club and a growing force in the region’s stand-up circuit.
Hosting the show is Anissa Bane, also known as Ms. Darkchild. Billed as the “Princess of Comedy,” she will lead the evening’s holiday-themed entertainment.
“We’re excited to partner with The Borough to showcase some of the best comedic talent around,” said Jermaine Thomas, CEO of Icon 411. “This is the perfect opportunity to kick off the holiday season with laughs, entertainment, and good vibes for everyone.”
Tickets can be bought here. The Borough is located at 149 E Lancaster Avenue.
