The Jockey Tavern Brings Equestrian-Inspired Dining to Malvern

The Jockey Tavern in Malvern offers Chester County residents a unique equestrian-inspired dining experience, reports Bob Kelly for FOX29 Philadelphia.

The family-owned tavern channels a warm, classic tavern ambiance inspired by Chester County’s equestrian roots and the owners’ lifelong love of riding horses and. The menu features a wide range of dinner, lunch, and brunch options, in addition to specialty cocktails, wines, and beer.

The space was previously McKenzie Brew House before its transformation into The Jockey Tavern, which opened in November 2024. The new aesthetic combines horse-inspired decor and a rustic aesthetic.

The tavern dubs happy hour “Jockey Hour” and offers half-priced drinks. Fan-favorite cocktails include the espresso martini and blood orange cosmo.

As for food, the Martinique salad adds fresh berries and mango salsa to a crisp salad. The Big Easy jambalaya offers a take on the spicy classic cuisine combining seafood with andouille sausage.

The Jockey Tavern is open Tuesday through Sunday, with brunch offered Saturdays and Sundays. Brunch items include banana pecan French toast, steak & eggs, and Creole shrimp & buttery grits.

The space also features widescreen televisions perfect for game time as well as live music on the weekends.
