Four October Events Bringing Autumnal Fun to Chester County

From fashion fundraisers to spooky walking tours, October events around Chester County are the perfect way to spend a fall day.

From fashion shows to haunted walking tours, October events bring no shortage of fall fun to Chester County, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.

Here are four upcoming October events to add to your calendar this fall.

Passion for Fashion Fundraiser—Malvern. Organized by the Paoli Hospital Auxiliary, this fashion fundraiser includes a fashion show, boutique shopping, raffles, and a luncheon. The event will take place at the Desmond Hotel and proceeds will support new equipment for Paoli Hospital.

Chilling West Chester Walking Tour—West Chester. One of the county’s most beloved October events, this ninety-minute walking tour highlights the spooky history of downtown West Chester. This year’s tour, dubbed “Plagues and Pestilence,” focuses on the impact of disease in the borough in the early 1800s.

Adult Trick or Treat—Chadds Ford. Every weekend at Chaddsford Winery, find seasonal snacks and and local wines at the winery’s adult trick or treat event. An outdoor walking tour will take guests around the winery to visit five Halloween-themed tasting stations. The $42 ticket also includes a keepsake Halloween wine glass.

Clover MarketKennett Square. Be an early bird holiday shopper and find a wide range of homemade and vintage goods at the fall Clover Market. Set for Oct. 19, the event will feature hundreds of vendors across the street from Kennett High School in addition to food trucks and live music.
