Monday, Jul. 14 | 5:15–6:15 PM: Struggles and Solutions

Struggles and Solutions is a group lifestyle coaching program. We all want to be healthier and have a healthy lifestyle, but where do we start, and how can we be successful? Even if we know what we should be doing, it can be difficult to make those changes.

Please note, this is a virtual event. Registration is required: Call 610-738-2300 or register online here.

Wednesday, Jul. 16 | 1-2:30 PM: Blood Pressure Screening

Chester County Hospital offers free monthly and periodic blood pressure screenings at locations across the region. No appointments are necessary.

At these screenings, registered nurses and other trained health professionals will take your blood pressure and provide you with educational literature to help you keep your blood pressure under control.

Make your way to Chester County Hospital (701 East Marshall Street
West Chester) on the third Tuesday of every month from 11:00 AM-12:30 PM.

The leading causes of blindness and low-vision in the United States are age-related and include cataracts, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Learn about the symptoms, screenings, and treatments for these common disorders from a local, renowned ophthalmologist.

Tuesday, Jul. 29 | 6-7:00 PM: Bones and Joints: Wrist and Hand

The hand is made up of 27 bones, including 14 “finger bones” (phalanges) connected by joints and ligaments, and the wrist is made up of eight small bones plus the ulna and radius of the forearm. Penn Medicine Orthopaedics will present the most common causes and remedies for hand and wrist problems.

Wednesday, Jul. 30 | 6-7:15 PM: Hands-Only CPR + AED Training

Most Americans feel helpless during a cardiac emergency. Would you, a family member, or a friend know what to do if you saw some suddenly collapse? Increase your confidence and reduce your fears and hesitation during an emergency by being trained in Hands-Only CPR.

By learning Hands-Only CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) or CPR without mouth-to-mouth breathing, you can increase confidence and reduce hesitation in life-saving situations. This training also includes a demonstration on the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and education on early heart attack signs and symptoms.

This is a free, in-person event. After you register, Chester County Hospital will send you any additional details and instructions you need for the training. You will receive a confirmation and any final instructions by email approximately two business days prior to the event.

Registration is required: Register by phone at 610-738-2300 or register online.

Chester County Hospital’s July events are part of its ongoing mission to educate, support, and empower the community with accessible health and wellness tools.
