Avondale-based Caputo & Guest, the nation’s leading grower of fresh exotic mushrooms, has lowered prices across its organic mushroom line, according to a staff report from The Produce News

The price cut is part of a strategic domestic production expansion aimed at reducing America’s reliance on imported mushrooms. With uncertainties on tariffs and supply chains, Caputo & Guest is a reliable and tariff-proof supply chain.

The demand for organic mushrooms – including Shiitake, King Oyster, Lion’s Mane, and Pearl Oyster – continues to grow, up 58.6 percent over the past three years. In response, they offering shoppers more accessible pricing, improved nationwide distribution, and a clear message: Buy 100 percent U.S. grown. Eat well. Know your food’s roots.

“We’ve invested heavily in expanding our operations so we can offer premium, organic mushrooms at everyday prices – no imports needed,” said Jeffery Guest Jr., Caputo & Guest general manager. “This move is about food transparency, sustainability, and giving customers more value.”

Unlike mushrooms grown in China or Southeast Asia, then packaged with a “Product of the USA” label, Caputo & Guest mushrooms are all grown in Kennett Square
