Longwood Gardens has been nominated for USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice Awards for the top botanical garden in America, writes staff for USA Today.
USA Today asks readers every year to name the top 10 best in each category, including travel, dining, lodging, and more. Voting for this year’s list ends March 10.
With over 1,000 acres of carefully manicured gardens and displays, Longwood is the most well-known floral destination in the region. Whether thousands of glittering lights at Winter Wonder or the fantastic summer fountains catch your attention, Longwood has plenty of entertainment and beauty.
While it currently holds first place in the top 10 list, there are a few competitors that could creep up. Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden in Florida and the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden in Ohio sit in second and third respectfully.
