The Malvern Buttery offers some of the most delicious specialty pastries and coffee in Chester County, writes staff for FOX29 Philadelphia.
Manager Jason Chow stated that the Buttery, located on King Street in Malvern, specializes in sourdough as well as European-style pastries, breads, and sandwiches. All pastries and baked goods are made fresh in-house each day by an experienced pastry team.
Recent specialty pastries include scones, croissants, tea cakes, pain au chocolat, and a grapefruit croissant tart. Customer favorites include the everything bagel croissant and the ham and brie baguette.
The Buttery’s specialties don’t end with food: The café also offers a full espresso and coffee bar. Late winter drink specials include an orange mocha and a raspberry rose chai, all made with house-made syrups and coffee sourced from Passenger Coffee in Lancaster.
A recent development has also allowed the café to serve more customers in the community: In 2024, the Buttery opened a secondary location at the Malvern Train Station to provide commuters with coffee and pastries Monday through Friday.
It is open every day from 8 AM to 2 PM, and the café’s train station location is open Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 11 AM.
