The 120-acre Fellowship Farm off Sanatoga Road is being brought back to life by a local nonprofit organization, writes Evan Brandt for The Daily Local News

Ted Edwards is the executive director of Working Together, the nonprofit organization that bought the property in 2020. Working Together aims to serve those in need, usually individuals who experienced childhood trauma, have overcome drug and alcohol abuse, experienced generational poverty, and have been involved in the cycle of incarceration and homelessness.

Once accepted into the program, the cost of food, clothing, housing, medical and dental care are paid by Working Together.

While undergoing therapy, those involved in the program will pay for their basic needs by working at one of the for-profit businesses that are set up to employ them, including Ellis Automotive, which was purchased by the nonprofit for this intent.

Students do not leave the program without having a job and apartment lined up and have been taught how to live within a budget.

It will offset costs by renting out the dining facility on the farm as a conference center and by allowing organizations to pay to use the farm’s rope course.

When the facility is fully completed, it will be home to 155 people.
